Did you know power generation accessories are also quickly available through your Vanjen team? This pump package transfers Urea from a 1000 gallon main storage tank to smaller day tanks for 6 x 500 kW CAT Tier 4 Final diesel generator sets.

On this recent project, our service team was called out to address excessive noise when the generator would signal the control panel to fill up the day tanks. We removed the motors from the pump skids and found metal bearings. As little as 1% water in grease can significantly shorten bearing life, which is why we recommend installing these pump packages indoors, if at all possible. In this case, the application was already outdoors, so we replaced the metal bearings with rubber bearings to help soften the effects of these challenges, also solving the customer’s initial concern of excessive noise.
